In early March 2018 I was approached to redesign an extensive property located in Beecroft. The house backed onto beautiful bush land and the brief was very open. The garden surrounding the house was to have an Italian feel, a pizza oven area, pool refurbished, a place to sit under the Magnolia tree and the rest was open to design. Realizing the enormity of the project and the need to produce a design plan quickly I brought on a colleague , Ingrid Villata to assist in the process.
This was the beginning of a journey that was to last over a year. The design process was relatively easy, with the opportunity to use all the beautiful materials combined onto one site, large format limestone pavers, filetti pavers imported from Italy, spotted gum timber, granite stone cladding, milled re-cycled railway sleepers, beautiful big imported pots, and plants brought in from all over the eastern states.
Construction began in June taking the project into another phase of overseeing construction, approving design details, sourcing and overseeing the planting, an average of 2 -3 site visits a week.
As we come to the completion of the project, the most important part of the entire process, the clients are thrilled and delighted with the changes to their entire property and the enjoyment it brings to the whole family.
